These terms govern your use of this website and, where you book with us, the services Horizon Trek Africa arranges on your behalf.

Information on this site

We take care to describe destinations, experiences and itineraries accurately. Park regulations, permit availability, permit pricing, entry requirements and opening arrangements are set by third parties and change from time to time. Nothing on this site should be treated as a guarantee of price or availability until confirmed to you in writing.

Enquiries and quotations

An enquiry does not create a booking. A booking exists only once we have confirmed it in writing and the agreed deposit has been received. Quotations are valid for the period stated in them.

Permits

Gorilla, chimpanzee and other primate permits are issued by the relevant Rwandan authorities, are strictly limited in number, and are subject to their own rules on age, health and conduct. We will confirm the current requirements before you book.

Wildlife

Wildlife is wild. We do not and cannot guarantee sightings of any species, including gorillas, chimpanzees or any of the Big Five.

Payments, changes and cancellations

Payment schedules, amendment charges and cancellation terms will be set out in your booking confirmation. Supplier terms, particularly for permits and lodges, may be stricter than ours and will be passed on.

Insurance

Comprehensive travel and medical insurance, including cover for cancellation and for the activities you intend to undertake, is a condition of travelling with us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda. The specific jurisdiction and dispute resolution provisions are to be settled on legal review.
